Track Survey
A railway track survey is critical to know the positioning and status of different track assets such as signals, switches, track circuits, axle counters, transponders, level crossing, communication devices, and other vital rail elements.

Apital conducts the track survey through track geometry cars (TGC) or manual carts for CBTC/PTC system design, changes, and other operation and maintenance purposes.
Radio Survey
Radio communication is vital in CBTC/PTC system; the issues of the antennas and other radio communication devices, including their connections, could cause the malfunction of the system.

ATS Data Engineering
ATS is critical in CBTC/PTC Automatic Train Control system, whether it is a new or an extension of the CBTC/PTC system to a new area or due to whatever reason with the changes, the proper ATS configuration, HMI, and data need to be updated too.

- Generate new ATS software with new database and configuration.

SSI Design & Test
Solid State Interlocking relies on solid state relays with Boolean logic design. Relay logic is a safety-critical task requiring a deep understanding of interlocking logic and careful system design and testing.

- Conduct the inhouse and field validation test.
- Provide the test result and test report.
ACS Design & Test
Axle Counter System (ACS) is widely used in CBTC/PTC systems as a second detection system. The block system in each Axle evaluation system needs to be carefully designed, programmed, and tested.
- Perform the block design and ACS system logic design.
- Supervise the installation of ACS system, on the track, trackside, and central controller.
- Perform inhouse and field block validation test.
Apital ACS experts provide a full process or part of process service to meet the system requirement or customer needs.
Interconnection Design
CBTC/PTC system involves different types of connection, from the discrete co-axle to optical or ethernet; the interconnection among other systems like SSI/ACS/ZC/Network in CBTC/PTC system could be very complicated.

- Perform the conceptual design and installation design.
- Organize the review with different stakeholders to make sure one time right.

Operation support
Apital OPS Level 1 operation support is to provide experienced CBTC/PTC on-site engineers in the rail control center to support the operational decision.
System Maintenance
Apital OPS Leval 2 operation support is to provide the defined daily or other periodic diagnostic or preventive tests and data analysis to identify and fix the issues during the operation.
System Optimization
Apital OPS Level 3 operation support provides data engineering service. Apital is developing different rail maintenance platforms to optimize system operation and ease system maintenance.

History & Experience
Apital’s Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) journey started in Shanghai Metro, where the first CBTC system was deployed in 2003; since then, Apital core team members have been working in different CBTC vendors with other CBTC systems in Asia and North America.
